November 2010 is in the air

My life continues in November.

I attended Kak Liza's friend's son's birthday celebration at KizSports at One Utama. it was a fun time spent there with her daughter, yaya playing with the plastic balls and the swing.

Happy Earth Day!!!

It's 22nd April 2010!!!

Today happened to be my lil sis, Wahida's 12th Birthday!!!

and it's also Earth Day!!!

Anyway,

today we went to celebrate everyone's birthday

except for those who are absent

(my two lil sis who's currently in KL)

Before that we went to meet our all time fav niece, QA...

She is as cute as ever when we met her :)

Proceeding to telling my story on today's special events,

Every April we would celebrate 3 birthdays in one particular day and that day usually falls on my lil sis, Wahida's birthday, on 22nd April...

The celebrated birthday girls are:

1st - Mom (2nd April)

2nd - my lil sis, Najmie (7th April)

3rd - Wahida (22nd April)

This year's birthday, we chose to celebrate at KFC...

since everyone is currently on a healthy diet, we thought today would be a good day to 'cheat'

Note: It's ok to cheat sometimes and for dieters, it is always good to plan your 'cheating day' :)

oh yeah, I almost forgot, today is also the day Wahida register for her MyCard

April 1st 2010...News from AirAsia!!!

Today, I got an email from AirAsia!!!

I was so totally been waiting for this email in like ages

(hehehe since early March actually)

But it feels like ages...

I was so happy when I opened my gmail to find an email from AirAsia :)

after I got the news, I spent the rest of the morning and afternoon searching for Beijing related information...

My master thesis was neglected for the rest of the day as I bask in the joy of getting the big news of the day!!! hihihi :)

Celebrating EARTH HOUR Today...

This is my second time celebrating earth hour...

We switched off all the lights

and the whole family gather in front of the TV

and watch a thriller movie...It was fun!!!

Lazy Day Today...

Today, Kedah is having a day off
because it is Sultan Kedah's Birthday
a.k.a. 'Hari Keputeraan Sultan Kedah'

Everyone is pampering themselves at home today
including me...
I browsed the internet in the morning, did some house chores,
slept in the afternoon, spent the day watching tv
and not to mention helping Wahida, my sister
with her homework anywhere I can...

Being lazy sometimes are fun...hehehe




Anyway,
going to sleep now...
I'm recollecting my spirit
to continue doing my master thesis tomorrow...

Happy New Year!!!

Assalaamu'alaikum and a Wonderful Day to my blog readers...
(if I still have one)

It's been a century since I last blog about my life...(as usual)

I've been a reader of my sis Najmie's blog since she always updated hers...hehe
also a regular reader of my sis Feshnie's blog since she regularly updated hers due to time constraints...hehe
and once in a blue moon reader of my sis Intan's blog due to her long posts updates...hehe

Anyway, just updating to wish all of my readers a Happy New Year...
For all Muslims out there, it is still Muharram month...I pray that wonderful things happen in this special first month of the new year of Hijriah 1431...

oh yeah!!! This year started with a full blue moon in the air...It must truly be a beautiful sight...Subhanallah...


My Current Status: Back as a master student...the semester started on the 28th Dec 2009 (just the end of last year....hahahaha....funny that I should say that...hmm)

A lot has happened last year...
1- Some of my friends got engaged, some, married...others, may it be they were pregnant or having a baby...Congratulations to all of them...I'm twice as happy for them...

2- However, my result for last semester however decreased from a 3.5... to 3.4... and it was so frustrating...I gave my best in the class and went to see the lecturer and all...and what did I get? *inhale* *exhale* alhamdulillah...everything happened for a reason...anyway, I'm thankful for the result that I get :)

3- Also after my final exams, I went to KL and stayed there for the month...during that time I was given the opportunity to help and facilitate foster children from Darul Izzah Dormitory (which originated from Bangi) for 11 days...most of them lost their father and were sent to Darul Izzah to be cared for since their mothers cannot give care and enough attention to them due to personal and financial problems after loosing their husbands...some were divorced and their child were sent away to this foster home...We bonded pretty well since I also lost my father 9 years ago in a car accident...I missed them as the 11-day school break camp ended (18 Dec 09 - 28 Dec 09)...

Now I'm back in Kedah to start writing my master thesis...I'm still working on the right title in order to start my thesis...Wish me luck!!! :) I need it...

Nisfu Sya'aban Day

Salaam and Good Evening to all my Blog Followers...

Today, when I logged in my friendster account,
I got a forwarded message from my friend about the Nisfu Sya'aban Day...
Unfortunately it is in Bahasa Malaysia...
So I want to share with all of you who can read Bahasa Malaysia the forwarded message
(and I apologize for those who are not familiar with the language)...

So, the forwarded message are as follows:

Hari Nisfu Sya'aban akan tiba pada 05 August 2009
(selepas maghrib pada hari 14 Sya'aban 1430H)

Oleh itu, marilah kita sama-sama mengambil saat keemasan ini
untuk menutup catatan amal ibadah kita kpd Allah
dengan baik dan sempurna
dan seterusnya berazam untuk memperbaiki diri kita
untuk catatan yang baru.

Hari Nisfu Sya'aban adalah hari dimana
buku catatan amalan kita selama setahun diangkat ke langit
dan diganti dengan buku catatan yang baru.

Catatan pertama yang akan dicatatkan dibuku yang baru
akan bermula sebaik sahaja masuk waktu maghrib,
(15 Sya'aban bermula pada 14 hb Sya'aban sebaik sahaja masuk maghrib)

Berikut adalah antara amal ibadah di hari Nisfu Sya'aban:

1. Selepas solat maghrib, Solat sunat nisfu sya'aban, 2 rakaat

Rakaat 1 : baca Al-Fatihah & surah Al-Qadar 1x

Rakaat 2 : baca Al-Fatihah & surah Al-Ikhlas 3x

2. Membaca Yasin 3x

i) Selepas Yasin pertama : mohon dipanjangkan umur untuk beribadat kepada Allah

ii) Selepas Yasin kedua : mohon rezeki yang halal untuk beribadat kepada Allah

iii) Selepas Yasin ketiga : mohon ditetapkan iman dan Islam & mati di dalam iman & pohonlah segala yang baik....

Kemudian baca Istighfar 11x & Selawat 11x

Baca doa nisfu Sya'aban (ada didalam Yasin Majmuk)

3. Baca surah ikhlas 1000x

4. Berpuasa pada siangnya :)

Abul Khair Al Talaqaani r.a. mengira nama2 malam Nisfu Sya'aban sebanyak 22.

Antaranya yg termasyhur adalah:

1. Malam Dimustajabkan Doa

2. Malam Pembahagian Takdir

3. Malam Rahmat

4. Malam Berkat

5. Malam Pengampunan (Taubat)

6. Malam Penebusan

7. Malam Syafaat

8. Malam Penulisan

9. Malam Keagungan dan Kemuliaan

10. Malam Rezeki

11. Malam Hari Raya Para Malaikat

12. Malam Penghidupan

Antara kelebihan bulan Sya'aban:

1. Sesiapa berpuasa sehari dalam bulan Sya'aban maka Allah haramkan tubuhnya dari api neraka dan dia akan menjadi teman kpd nabi Allah Yusof didalam syurga.

2. Riwayat dari Osman Bin Abi Al-As, Sabda Nabi Muhammad (saw) : pada malam nisfu sya'aban setelah berlalu 1/3 malamnya, Allah turun ke langit dunia lalu berfirman : adakah orang-orang yang meminta maka Aku perkenankan permintaannya, adakah orang yang meminta ampun maka Aku ampunkannya, adakah orang yang bertaubat maka Aku terima taubatnya dan diampunkan semua orang mukmin lelaki & perempuan, melainkan orang yang berzina atau orang yang berdendam marah hatinya kepada saudaranya.

Sebaik-baiknya minta ampun dengan ibubapa
sebelum hari nisfu sya'aban
kerana amalan kita akan terhalang dari diangkat ke langit
sekiranya kita derhaka/berdosa dengan ibubapa kita.
